Thirteen-year-old Sienna Chilcott, a member of the 4th Ripon Scout Troop, has achieved an incredible milestone by earning all 95 available badges in just two years. She accomplished this feat after joining Scouting in September 2024, following in the footsteps of her brother Jakoby, who previously earned every badge during his time with 4th Ripon Cubs. Sienna completed the challenge with a full year still to go before moving up to Explorers.
Her impressive collection includes the Chief Scout’s Gold Award (the highest honor in the Scout section), alongside 63 Activity badges, 15 Staged badges, 9 Challenge awards, 4 YouShape awards, an Earth Tribe award, an Assistant Patrol Leader badge, and a two-year joining-in award. Along the way, Sienna tried parascending, fly fishing, and dragon boating, while also developing skills as a quartermaster and orienteer. She noted that parascending was her absolute favorite experience, one she would never have had the chance to do outside of Scouting.
As part of her hill walking badge, Sienna also helped plan and lead groups of Year 7 pupils from her school on day-long hiking challenges to conquer Yorkshire’s Three Peaks, working alongside her teacher—a qualified mountain leader—to hone her navigation and leadership skills. Reflecting on her journey, Sienna shared that she enjoyed gaining new experiences, opportunities, and meeting new people through Scouting.
4th Ripon Scout Leader Dave Baker praised her achievement, saying: “It goes without saying that Sienna is an incredible Scout showing amazing passion, resilience and a will to learn and make use of many new skills.”
